For some reason this album seems to be a tremendously popular album for the Indigo Girls. However, for me it didn't do too much...I felt like they were trying _too_ hard. Maybe I just didn't get it (wouldn't be the first time!)

Listen to this again. It's an underrated album. It might take some time to grow on you, but give it a chance, I bet you'll come to the same conclusion that I did. This is one of their finest albums.

Jan 5/95 Definitely thier finest work. Much too much underplayed. This one remained in my CD player (or very close by) for weeks, and I own over 500 CD's and over 800 albums!. Of particular excellence are the following tracks: Three Hits, Galileo, Joking, Jonas & Ezekial (This ones my personal fav.), Romeo & Juliet (Mark Knopfler should sound so good), Airplane (Listen for the Roches singing harmony!) and Nashville. Chickenman, I admit is probably one of the most "unique" songs I've heard. Although I didn't care for this one track, I find myself humming or singing it often, which makes it all the more annoying. If you can ignore Chickenman I dare most anyone to dislike this album. This album made the Indigo Girls one of my all time favorite groups! Buy two copies so your not disappointed when the first one wears out!

I happen to love this album. Even though it's the only one of their's that I own, I think it is amazing. For those of you sentimental people, Romeo and Juliet, and Love Will Come to You are the most incredible tracks. As a matter of fact, I happen to be learning to play Romeo and Juliet on the guitar and it's the coolest thing to play ever.

This was the album that got me interested in the indigo girls. I heard Gallileo played once at a party and I asked what the album was called. The very next day I went out and bought the CD. I fell in love with all the songs, especially Ghost, and even Chickenman, though that song took a little getting used to After this, I bought strange fire andnow I own 5 indigo girls albums. -leah
