Comments for Inner City Unit, The Presidents Tapes

The last ICU album
madscientistdave@aol.com
This album rocks. If you are into punk, psychedelic music, or just want a great drinking album, you must have The Presidents Tapes. It's fun, energetic, political, and full of inside jokes. The opening song, "Stonehenge- Who Knows?" is the story of what went terribly wrong at the last Solstice at Stonehenge festival, and was later remade on Nik Turner's "Prophets of Time" album (featuring Helios Creed, from Chrome). Anyone who has heard of ICU (via Hawkwind, most likely) has probably heard the two songs that Frenchy Gloder put on the "Friends and Relations" albums.... but they don't come close in terms of production or just plain musical value to this album. I've got a huge collection of vinyl and CD, and this is probably my favorite album of all time. Dave in Chicago
