Comments for Inspiral Carpets, Life

The Inspiral Carpets have always been a "singles" band, and "Life" serves as convincing evidence of that fact. "This Is How It Feels" is a brilliant song and, while not the album's only highlight, its strength reveals the weakness of the rest of the CD. A better decision might be to pick up the band's recent (Fall 1995) singles compilation which features all of the Inspirals' hits.

life is yet another top album from funky madchester groovers the inspiral carpets don''t tell me they were a singles band this monumental slab of wax has to be one the greatest albums of the nineties plus clint boon had a top haircut in those days a proper mop ''ead without a doubt the madchester period of 1989 to 1991 has to be the greatest scene ever to impose itself upon the british isles those flares those mop ''eads with such top bands as the roses(greatest band in the world sod the beatles) the mondays the charlatans the inspirals northside candy flip ride new order(admittley they came a bit earlier from miserable gits joy division) james the mock turtles, all in all madchester was top as everyone was trippin'' their tits off on acid,e and any other chemical crap they could stuff inside their junky bodies which meant the music was pure quality psychedelia with happy ,poppy ,trippy overtones yeah man sorted!!!!!
