One superb, melodius, profound album. C'est sans doute un des cinq albums que j'apporterais sur une ile deserte...Jouissif!!!

I can listen to this album for days without even wanting to listen to anything else. James is one of the best groups of all time.

Just put this album on and hit Repeat. You'll never notice how many times it plays. Es musica muy bien.

Amazing how such a fantastic song ("Laid") can come from such a depressing, lifeless album. "Sometimes" is above average as well, but the rest of this compilation will make you want to slash your wrists. If you are at all mentally unstable, not get this album! If you are like me, and you don''t mind dropping $17 for one or two good songs, then by all means, run right out and get "Laid".

The lead singer reminds me of Mr Dead from the Fast Show - he obviously takes lots of drugs and probably drink in order to borrow God's gifts of insperation from tomorrow. I have to tell you, - you can only borrow until the cup is empty, - then you have to wait for it to fill - in the mean time, you will rely more on drugs & drink, become depressed, then wright more terrible dribble about the experiences you had. Give it up (lead singer), your debt is high and your mind is a wasteland as you wait for God to give again.

This was a turning point for the band. Stepped up production with Brian Eno and an abundance of material that filtered into the Wah Wah sessions. This is Tim Booth exploring themes that started with Seven and culminate in Whiplash. An excellent aural delight from start to finish. If you didn't get to see this band then sadly you missed out on an experience to behold!
