One of my favourite Jarre albums, it was great for very late night studying when I was at University :-)

Excellent! Fits more into the experimental catagory though. Jarre uses samples of multiple langauges to create much of the sounds and music on the album. Also note that Laurie Anderson performs on the Diva track.

I still can't decide between "Equinoxe" and "Zoolook" as my favourite Jarre album. They're both great, but in very different ways. It was nice to see Jarre attempt something this innovative.

I liked it a lot when I first heard it, but... Ethnicolor is just bloody great, after that album goes downhill. Diva is slightly overbent (vocals sound too theatrical and a bit out of place), the side 2 has slight mechanical feel though not too much and Ethnicolor II ends album with dignity. This is his first studio album where he plays with the band, featuring Laurie Anderson and Adrian Belew (from King Crimson).
