I have only one thing to say about this album. What happened to Richie Cannata?

My favorite Billy album of all time! It''s scary, it''s weird, it''s haunting and tough. Much tougher than the intentionally tough Glass Houses. "Allentown" is my favorite Billy song. It''s perfect in every note, in every word. "Laura" is a terrific Lennon knockoff, and "Pressure" hits just as hard as it did originally. "Goodnight Saigon" is probably the only rock war tune I ever liked. "She''s Right On Time" is beautiful, and had a hilarious video that accompanied it, that I only saw once years ago on Radio 1990. "A Room Of Our Own" is insane at points, what with its heavy echo, but that''s what makes it great. "Surprises" gives me chills every time I hear it. I love the building synth lines that counter the melody. "Scandinavian Skies" is more weirdness. I always loved the bridge in the middle, and "Where''s The Orchestra?" is rather strange as well, but wonderful nonetheless with it''s reprise of "Allentown" at the end, closing out a perfect album.
Very Beatles-ish in places, especially "Laura" and the last three tracks. "Pressure" and "A Room Of Our Own" really rock; a very strong album, overall. _The_Nylon_Curtain_ was recorded at A&R Recording and Media Sound Studios, with Liberty DeVitto on drums and percussion, Doug Stegmeyer on bass, Russell Javors on electric and acoustic rhythm guitars, and David Brown on electric and acoustic lead guitars, plus Domonick Cortese on accordian, Charles McCracken on cello, Eddie Daniels on sax and clarinet, Rob Mounsey on synthesizer, and Bill Zampino on field snare.
