Comments for John, Elton, Ice On Fire

One of the infamous 80s albums, complete with lots of synth garbage and the beginnings of Bernie's rambling stage. Picture the world's greatest performer at the height of a multiple drug problem, and you can begin to understand why this album isn't one of his best. EXCEPTION: Nikita is a standard. Great classic EJ melody. Listen for George Michael doing backup and falsetto toward the end, as well as duetting in "Wrap Her Up"

Don't know what there is about this CD, but after listening to it over and over, I like it. Of course the CD has got the duet with Millie Jackson, "Act of War" in it. At first, with the exception of a couple of songs I did not care for it at all, and there still are a few songs that aren't my favorites, but overall it's great.

A rushed effort can sometimes yield some good material---> "Nikita."

"Nikita" is one of Elton's best ever compositions. It very reminisant of "Daniel." The rest of the album is pedestrian however.

SUCKS
70's Rocker
Just like Leather Jackets, full of 80's synth rubbish A real major step down even from the other 80's recordings of 21 at 33, Two Low for Zero, Jump Up etc. This album does not warrant remasterting and should have been deleted from his back catologue instead of Breaking Hearts and 21 at 33 which were far superior to this dismal effort. Very cheesy Mr John but things did return to normality on Sleeping with the Past
