Comments for Ant, Adam, Vive Le Rock

Differed greatly from his earlier style of music. Some fans of his earlier work were a little disappointed with the trend at first,but eventually were won over.

Well it's a great album and I'm real glad they re-released it on CD. However...We need to keep this section up to date. The new album "Wonderful" is too good for words to describe. Blah Blah Blah...check out the folder on AOL.

Each of Adam's albums have a unique feel, creating an entirely different atmosphere from one another. This surely makes Adam one of the most fascinating artists around. Vive Le Rock has a sharp edge that produces a truly classic rock album.

Haven't heard Vive La Rock album, but thoroughly recommend "Dirk Wears White Socks" - his first. Jarring and challenging with a bite to the lyrics that's become his trademark.

VIVE LE ROCK is one of the most amazing albums Ad has put out. True, it IS different from most of the stuff that he did earlier with "Kings of the Wild Frontier" and the like, but he definitely stuck his neck out with this one -- while everybody was putting out dance LPs, Adam put out a glam rockers in space tribute ... all I gotta say is, "GO ADAM! GO!!"

Adam`s last disc for Epic rocks hard. Using the talents of longtime compatriot/guitarist Marco Pirroni and producer Toni Visconti (T.Rex), Ant slapped a full-frontal assault on the record-buying public with this album. Rocking more directly and harder than ever before, Ant`s razor-sharp lyrics had never been more direct (or, oddly enough, homoerotic). From the slamming bite of the title cut, "Miss Thing", and "Hell`s Eight Acres" through the more familiar Antrealms of "Rip Down" and "No Zap", this album, while not clicking with the public at large, truly encapsulated the Ant experience.
