A fine collection of tunes make for a very fine album indeed. Great tracks such as "Sacrifice", and "Healing Hands" complement "Blue Avenue" and other great tunes. A really fine album!

I agree that "Sleeping with The Past" is a great album - I would rank it in my Top Ten, thanks to tracks like "Healing Hands"(my all-time favourite EJ track), "Sacrifice" and the catchy "I Never Knew Her Name". And what a great video for "Club at the End of the Street"

Whenever I hear a friend of mine at school suddenly loves Elton John, more often than not its because they've heard this album. One of his top 5 best, "Sleeping With The Past" is a masterpiece of melody, darkness and great Motown feel. A must for any classic music fan.

I think that this is one of the greatest Elton John albums ever. My favourite tracks are the classic "Sacrifice", the excellent "Healing Hands", and of course the upbeat title track, which I rank as his best song for over ten years.
The first Elton album I ever bought and in my opinion one of his very finest. The smooth soulsound and the presence of all time great Elton songs likeSacrifice/Healing Hands, Club..., Blue Avenue - definately one of Elton`s finest moments.
Another fine E.J album, he never fails to satisfy except for Victim of Love in 1979, I would recommend his entire back catologue.
