Comments for John, Elton, Greatest Hits Volume II

Just as good as Grestest Hits 1, if not better.

This album for years acted as the best source for Elton John's most flashy and recognizable pop tunes of the 70s whereas GH1 was more a collection of standards. However, in 1992 when Polydor released their own line of Elton CDs (inlcuding the two 'hits' albums which the recent remastered line does not include) Polydor had omitted two of the most treasured (not to mention hard to find on CD) hits of Elton's career, and replaced them with two semi-hits that DJM released in the late seventies on 7" to take advantage of what was under their copyright. This change in the album proved interesting at first for collectors but has since meandered into a pain in the posterior.

yes, but the two hits they replaced were sub-par.i would''ve prefered that they used "friends" instead of the intensely whiny " i feel like a bullet" but the inclusion of "tiny dancer" more than makes up for it.
Second "Hits" collection covers the prolific mid-70`s era.1974-1976.
