Comments for John, Elton, Here and There

The old "Here & There", the 10-track contact-fulfilling release of 1976 is a big yawn because it displayed typical Elton trax from the 70s that everyone new already. They were slower and inferior carbon copies. Don't get me wrong: the new 26-track re-issue is the best thing that ever happened to my Elton disc collection. It captures the legendary electric rawness that Elton John has with audiences, but of course the duel 1974 performances on this album also capture in fuller length the youthful vitality that all the band members had back then--not just Elton. Next to "Live In Australia," "Here & There" is the perhaps the finest Elton live experience to be reproduced for the above-ground commercial market..... the re-issue, that is.

when i owned this album as a kid i was a little disappointed in my purchase. the new expanded version is a gift that polygram didn''t have to give us but they did anyway. thanks. this includes the definitive versions of bad side of the moon and burn down the mission . buy it you wont be sorry
This is an awesome live cd. The first 5 tracks are from London and the last 4 are from MSG in New York on Thanksgiving Day 1974. A two CD set of Here and There has recently been released in England. It has about 10 tracks from each performance including three with John Lennon in NYC.
