Comments for John, Elton, The Classic Elton John

This is the infamous "McDonald`s" disc. The fast food giant was selling this along with Garth Brooks and Tina Turner discs for a small price - $4.99 I believe. Taken on it`s own terms though I believe it was worth the price. A quick scan of the song titles will confirm this. Granted it`s a mish-mash. It`s almost as if someone put numerous titles out of a hat and made a cd of it. However MONA LISAS AND MAD HATTERS and MADMAN ACROSS THE WATER have never made it to any kind of Elton "best of " before and both are extremely worthy. FRIENDS is now available on disc only on the Rare Masters double set . Most of the others appear on one of the first two Greatest Hits discs. So if you come across this at a used cd store buy it but dont pay too much for it. I must thank Deb Storer for letting me copy the information so I could add this disc to the web page.
