Comments for John, Elton, Candle In The Wind '97

This isn't an album, you goddamn fools! (It's what you call a 'single'). Elton's performance at Di's funeral was touching, but the whole hoopla over the release of that single pretty much ruined any sentimentality for it.

Maybe, maybe not. Why bother? These days sentiment is as cheap as rotten tomatoes; and boy, does it work. Anyway, where I live, this masterful piece of publicity WAS marketed as an album (with full packaging and - yes - market price).

Hey, ''Smokeyjoe'', get a life! This album, or single, or whatever, was PUTRID! It was so damned phoney that I had to wash my ears out with carbolic acid after hearing it on television. Maybe you enjoy being drowned in sugar syrup and letting ants bite you, so you like this song. P.S. I''LL BE BACK!!
You can e-mail me at the address below, or (if you don`tlike Hotmail) at philip@giasmda.vsnl.net.in. DISCLAIMER. I`m not afundamentalist who says `DIE DIANA! YOU WILL GO TO HELL!`,I`m just sick of media garbage.
