Comments for Jones, Rickie Lee, The MagazineThe Magazine tour marked an era of turmoil in Rickie Lee`s life. She was purportedly often drunk on stage and her music departed from the more bluesy/folksy tunes from her first two albums. Gravity begins with "There are wounds that stir up the force of gravity; a cold that will wipe the hope from your eyes." Still a musical force, this album`s strongest track is Gravity and its most popular song is It Must Be Love (used in various TV shows and movies). Some vinyl editions of this album contain a scary version of "Theme For The Pope" with creepy French lyrics sung by Boris Bergman. Thankfully, I have an American pressing of the album that has the instrumental demo. Beware! I HATE BORIS BERGMAN!!Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
