Comments for Jones, Rickie Lee, Flying CowboysE-MAIL: kebbie@aol.com A delightful album. Ricki is an American treasure.E-MAIL: jbennett@extro.ucc.su.oz.au The thing I love about this album is that it has a whole rainbow of different cultures and styles. This is the album I play loud when I have a tough task ahead, or after a tough day with humanity. Thanks rlj.E-MAIL: rwokla@aol.com To whom this may concern, I am an american designer and horse owner. My latest project is a 45min. video-film called work''n Quarterhorse. I am making a different type of horse film. That is, a film from the horse''s perspective. I combined a digi-cam camera (which I shot with on horseback) with the Beta-Cam on the ground operated by another cameraman and put together a quite interesting piece of work. I''m using a piece from Rickie-Lee called Flying Cowboys. This piece puts so much drive in the ride scene while hearding cattle through rivers and up the sandhills on the Oklahoma Panhandle. I can only use 200 seconds because of my more than humble budget. Between all the institutions and companies that all get into the making, it was just too expensive to purchase another piece that I would just love to use for my intro, which is Horses from the same album. The video will be on the market at the middle to end of Oct. and would like very much that the artist (Rickie-Lee Jones) has a look at it. I really feel that she will be quite interested in this project. Thank you, rwokla@aol.com This album marks the return of Rickie Lee Jones to the recording scene after a five-year hiatus. Flying Cowboys, Rickie Lee`s fifth effort, is a mixture of melody and rhythm that will get your toes tapping and make you want to sing with her (although her high notes are way too high for the average individual). This album marked her return from her "dark side" beginning with "...And if the situation/Should keep us separated/You know the world won`t fall apart/And you will free the beautiful bird/That`s caught inside your heart..."Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
