Comments for Joni Mitchell, HejiraE-MAIL: mprisco@cat.syr.edu Her use of electric guitar as opposed to acoustic makes this album particularly interesting.E-MAIL: pmr@taynet.co.uk An under-rated record overshadowed by "Hissing Of Summer Lawns". As usual Joni did the right thing and made a simpler record, less flashy than "Hissing" but her guitar playing and Pastorious'bass playing make it a more intimate record.E-MAIL: conneltn@perkin-elmer.com Compeling, as meaningful to me when released (I was 17). as it is today. One of the most brilliant albums of Joni`s career, but it also marked Joni`s turn toward a jazzier, more experimental style that moved away from traditional folk and rock. Neil Young plays a haunting harmonica on "Furry Sings the Blues," a song about W.C. Handy.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
