Comments for Judas Priest, Painkiller

Halfords last hurrah before having a rumor heavy breakup with the band. Probably his weakest vocal effort, considering he doesnt have time to explore with his voice in the rigid "speed" persona.

The Metallian, Master of all Metal !

This album is one of the best Heavy Metal albums ever made. It is a classic - in the dictionary: Heavy Metal: Rock with an attitude. Look also: Painkiller by JP.

You know that leather-jacketed fellow in the Maxell tape ads? He's listening to this album. A great "last hurrah" for the Priest, which is bad in that it leaves us wanting more.

Screw Judas Priest old 70''s stuff, Painkiller is the best my 2nd favorite all time cd. This album is so dark and heavy. Tons of long rocking guitar solos. It kicks ass!
The famous Priest experiment with speed metal, long afterMetallica stopped doing any.Solid guitar work from Glenn Tipton.Tipton is GOD!

A vast improvement over the lackluster Ram it Down and Turbo, but a little strident at times.
