ICARUS (Wings Of Steel), is easily one of the most underrated songs in the history of rock music. This is the sort of song that made Kansas famous in the first place.

Yes, Icarus is truly a brilliant song. It is also a great example of how Kansas was truly "ahead of thier time" and still are today- maybe especially today. What happended to this kind of Rock? I wish they would get back together with all the original members, including Robby Stienhart.

Well, Robby Steinhardt rejoined the band in 1997...

Not one of my favorite Kansas albums. I''m in the minority, but I can''t stand "Icarus". I can''t get past the vocal harmonization attempts between Robby & Steve. On the up side, it contains a couple of outstanding tracks --- "The Pinnacle", and "All The World". ATW is probably one of my 5 or 6 favorite Kansas songs. Great instrumental section.
Kansas` third album is a quick followup to Song For America.Shows great songsmanship, but the music has some slight modernizingtwist to some of the songs. Mysteries and Mayhem and The Pinnacleare two songs strung together as one story, the first being the introduction to the second. Very good album, but not as good as Song For America.
