Comments for King Crimson, Three Of A Perfect Pair

Excellent title track, a few pop songs, and Lark's Tongues in Aspic Part III is fierce. Ps - love guitar at the begining of that track!

This is definitely different. K.C. were exploring around with industrial sounds & motifs before it became fashionable, & "Industry" is a very impressive impressionistic piece. The pop songs are similar to those on previous 2 albums - they kept repeating themselves. A bit dated now but quite interesting at the time.

"Sleepless" and "Three Of A Perfect Pair" are extraordinary!

despite their brilliant 80s debut Discipline (which probably sounded like nothing else at the time), this has to be the best of 80s kc in my opinion. "Nuages" and "Industry" are definitely their best 80s instrumental songs, and "Dig Me" sounds like an incredible 80s improvisation.

King Crimson is just and extraordinaire band. In Three of a perfect pair you can find two or three "poppish" songs, but they are very very ahead of commercial songs. Larks tongues in aspic III, Dig me, Industry, No Warning, just wonderful. I love Bill Bruford, my favourite drummer.
