Comments for Kings X, Gretchen goes to Nebraska

E-MAIL: fwalton@world.nad.northrop.com
This is easily the best album by the King's X even now (1995). This record had a coherence that has been difficult to acheive since, not to say that subsequent King's X records have been inferior, just to say that this was a pinnacle of sorts. A lot of Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilot's, Collective Soul and Alice in Chain's sonic signatures were pioneered on this record. (Some of them will even admit it too) If you want to see what *really* changed music in the '90's check out this album.

This is quite possibly the most important rock album in the last 20 years.

If you ONLY knew what this album was for. Sam''s gone from the newer albums, and when Sam was ousted COMMERCIAL!!!!!! I wish that these excellent artists would stay to the root. Take a break, try not to think too hard ''cause the world is a bitch! It''s a dissapointment to see character and purpose fall away from a group. Expecially when the new crop of artists have NO CLUE of what PURPOSE is, and "character" is an ACTOR or ANIMATION!

GGTN...the most complete album recorded in 24 years. Kings X is one of the most talented and fresh bands to come down the pike! Buy this and you WILL NOT be disappointed.
