Comments for Kinks, the, Low Budget

E-MAIL: RH hit
On this one, The Kinks try their own hand at disco, probably because all their rock competitors (Stones, Wings, etc.)were at the time. However, the disco-ized songs on this album (Superman, Catch Me Now, etc.) are actually more like hard rock and disco combined. What a combo! And it worked (for me, anyway)! This is definitely one of their better Arista albums.

I love this disco-orientated disc. Especially Superman is groovy, funky-disco - of course kinkslike. This album is one of my favourite Kinks-Albums. It spreads pressure and if you listen to Misery, you can feel Dave''s well-done guitar-work. He had obviously great fun during recording. Pressure is a true punk opus. One of the funniest punk songs ever? ''Little Bit Of Emotion'' is one of my TOP-KINKS-SONGS. Did Ray know me then? Great-Guitar-Work from both and a fine sax-parts combined with Dave''s lead. Low Budget, Gallon Of Gas, Catch Me and Attitude - just enjoy it!
