Comments for Kirsty MacColl, Electric Landlady

When one might have expected an album as different from Kirstysearlier work as "Walking Down Madison", this albums single, turned out to be, instead comes a collection of mellow tunes. My Affair is the only really individual track: different, daring and fun. The remaining tracks are gentle reflectionsof life that Kirsty makes so well only there`s a feeling thatthe more fast-paced amusing tracks of her past are absentand don`t keep the balance between styles that Kite did.Maybe Its Imaginary is pleasant and personal, as is He Never Mentioned Love and Haloween has a beautiful opening.Only two songs from this album appear out of the 18 on Galore, compared to six from the Kite album.
