Comments for Kraftwerk, Autobahn

This first remotely commercial Kraftwerk album spawned a US hit single in the shape of a short version of the 23-min title track. It's also the first of their vaguely 'concept' albums that were later dealing with, in turn, nuclear energy, railroads, robots and computers. Time spans between each release has gradually increased. Like Mercedes engineers, they are taking the time necessary to produce perfection within their chosen field.

Defnitely Kraftwerk's finest 43 minutes. Komentenmelodie1 is a bit dark and sinister, but Komentenmelodie2 makes you glad to be alive! Morgenspaziergang gives me the feeling of a forest of creatures warming to a gentle alien creature in its midst, but don't tell Mulder about this track for God's sake!

Kraftwerk first came to my attention about 10 years ago and since then I have been quite a fan and would like to know if they are coming to Australia in the near future.
