Comments for Led Zeppelin, In Through the Out Door

It may well be that the song "Hot Dog" is unlike anything that the band ever did, but to call it "the only country song" that the band ever did leads one to believe that they were satirising the style of the song or worse still that they were merely a "classic rock" (who said that?) band that lacked the versatility needed to achieve a level of artistic integrity in another style. One cannot help but be amazed that these british lads became immersed in and arguably perfected a style that was utterly alien to their native culture. The nomitive act is by it's nature a factor in limiting our perceptions. So don't label groups or styles please.

Carouseleramba is John paul at his best. The synth work he does is amazing on that as well as the whole album. I'm Gonna Crawl and South Bound Suarez both bring out other other types of music Zeppelin isn't known for. In The Evening rocks and is a great opening track. Fool In the Rain is Page's last great Zeppelin solo. I just don't get why my cassette has only the brown bag cover.

I think this album is extremely underrated, just because it doesn't sound like a regular Zeppelin album. Carouselambra rocks!

We seem to be forgetting the tribute song to his son, "All My Love." Anybody who cries at "Thank You" should hear this one; it''s great!
`Hot Dog` is the only country song Led Zepplin ever did.
