Comments for Lillian Axe, Out of the Darkness - Into the Light

My Number--what a song! Great Dallas band that deserves much more recognition that it gets. In this day and age of semi-punk music it is good to see a true rock band play with tremendous energy and they seem to have a blast!

Out of the Darkness is a compilation of songs from Lillian Axe's first two MCA releases, because MCA screwed them over with promotion, etc...Grand Slam released this to help those who can't get the debut and sophmore albums(both of which are out of print) A must have if you don't have the first two...

Like was previously said . . . must have if you can't find the first 2. However, this is also now out of print! :-( So if you find it, get it! They're still floating around in most record stores and isn't too difficult to find . . .for now. Definately worth the $$, even if you have the first 2!

If you think this album is good, just imagine the cuts that aren't on it from their first two albums!

Warning! If you like Pyscho you might not be a big fan of this release. The band photo give a good indication of the music you'll find on the CD. While there is much potential shown on this release, it's just too much generic glam rock for my tastes. Sorry. However, the songs sound much better live.

Agreed. If it's the refinement & technical quality of Justice & Psycho that you love--this may not be for you. But if you like it RAW, spin away.

In regards to what people have said about the first two Lillian Axe albums......I think that they are by far the best!!! Yes Psycho is good but the old stuff is definatley my favorite!!!!

I first heard Psycho by accident; the radio station I DJ at was going to toss it so I picked it up. What a mindblower! I was fortunate to find this album, which ROCKS!

I think you shouldn't say that this album is better or worse than psycho, they're simply different, but both are great.

This is definitely an awesome album. I can relate many of these songs directly to my life, which makes me love it even more I must say, " World Stopped Turning ", is one of the best on the CD !!!

I may just be a rare exception but I liked the self-titled debut from Lillian Axe and Psychoschitzophrenia however I hated Poetic Justice (except No Matter What). Long live Lillian Axe!!!!!!

This is one of the best Melodic Rock Releases of all time. Honestly I must say that I love this album more than "Psychoschizophrenia"! LILLIAN AXE kills!

MY BAND "FLASHPOINT" OPENED UP FOR THESE GUYS BACK IN 1990 AT THE "THIRSTY WHALE" IN CHICAGO. IT WAS A GREAT SHOW AND THEY WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH. I'VE BEEN A FAN EVER SINCE. THIS IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE CD'S TO JAM OUT TO.

Hey all Lillian fans, To say that one of their albums is better or worse than the rest to me seems pointless! We all know this is/was one of the best, yet most underrated hard rock bands of all time. Sure we'll all have our personal favorite album or song but they all kick ass. And as many of you have said..."Lon g Live LILLIAN AXE!!!"

definite glam era L.A.. some great songs included, but some are pretty weak too.

This is a pretty good compilation of songs from the first 2 CD's. It leaves off some good songs though! I love every Lillian Axe album equally. They all kick some serious ass! If anyone has this on CD and wants to sell it, please e-mail me! Thanks! Long Live The Axe!! Hope they reform!!!!

The first lillian axe album I bought was love+war, then psycho and I have to say apart from an odd couple of tracks I thought psycho pretty much sucked! However justice rocks to hell and back, I need the self titled album....help!

I am looking for this in ANY format--- anybody want to help me can reach me at the address above. The best cut on this is World Stopped Turning-- I love that song- I sing it all the time and people just love the lyrics (no-- not professionally-- just to annoy my co-workers) I met these guys in Grand Rapids in 1989 (thanks to my ex- boyfriend who thought he was the next big thing in photography) and not only do they ROCK!!! but they are really nice too---
