Comments for Arkenstone,David, Quest of the Dream Warrior

This is one of the best recordings I have ever heard in my many years of listening to all varieties of music. It is a shame it cannot get some radio play.

This is a concept story album of an epic fantasy quest, as written in the booklet that comes with the CD. A cute map is also included but the main attraction here is the music. There are three vocal tracks, sung competently by the musician himself, and lots of nicely constructed instrumentals that combine keyboards, guitar, flute and real orchestration into something like classical rock. The blend is mellowish without being boring (the rhythms are still strong) and Arkenstone has a great sense for melody. Very enjoyable. (Ian C. Thomas)
