Comments for Machine Head, Burn My Eyes

Machine Head is the best band to come along in the Metal, Hardrock, and Hardcore styles in quite a long time. They have produced a fresh sounding album in a genre that is repeatedly producing stale, clone sounding bands that either sound like Metallica or Slayer. Of all the albums that were released last year (1994) I would recommend Machine Head to anyone who would ask me what new band should I listen to. This is the first band that has overwhelmingly impressed me since Sick Of It All. - Paul Coffey, the CoffeyHouse. WTSR 91.3fm Trenton, NJ.

Machine Head have done well with this album ... their sound is definitely hard crunching & testicle-tearing. While many bands out there have tried to reproduce the same sounds as other bands like Metallica, Slayer, and just the typical thrash bullshit artists like Channel Zero, Machine Head have managed to break free from that and make their presence known but also very different at that. If you love metal that just crunches from the first second and is fast in yet a quality way, then you can't go wrong with these guys! I first heard ''Davidian'' in my local Heavy Metal club and instantly thought it was the coolest and heaviest track ever. I bought the album and have transcribed the first few songs for the guitar. Machine Head fucking rule!!!
