Comments for Megadeth, So Far, So Good...So What!

Possibly the Megadeth at their weakest. Drugs had definately become a major part of their life and it shows. This album does have some classics though ("In My Darkest Hour" & "Hook In Mouth"). Although, this isn't one of their best I recommend it too other fans. Derek

Although not their best album, it does improve on listening. 'INTO THE LUNGS OF HELL' is a great instrumental which does conjure up images of Satan's domain. 'ANARCHY IN THE UK' adds some punkness to the album, and it is still played at their live shows. I can't be bothered to write about all the other tracks as it takes too long, so find out about them for yourself!

Not their worst (Killing...), but definately not their best. Inot the Lungs of Hell is one hellacious song. The riff towards the end gets my adrenaline going!

You've got to give Megadeth credit for making a very diverse album. Songs range from the blistering, "Set the World Afire," to the sincere ballad, "In My Darkest Hour," to the menacing "Hook in Mouth," to the furious "Anarchy." Megadeth demonstrates a little more creativity and inginuity in So Far... So Good...So What?! than in Peace Sells. There are a couple pieces of garbage on this album, but it remains very listenable for the most part. Not for everyone, but definitely for any Megadeth fan.

An awesome effort, some critics regard this as their best, although most fans seem to prefer "Rust." Crushing songs tell horrible tales of nuclear war, censorship, and chaos. The best is "Anarchy in the U.K." a turbo speed version of the Sex Pistol original, with hilariously misheard lyrics. Steve Jones, an original Sex Pistol, plays guitar on this one, not like they need him. Still that's pretty cool. Solid throughout, just throw out the disasterous "502" (this is police code for impaired driving, dave would later be arrested for this).

I donīt like it very much. A great song is "Anarchy in the UK" - which they sang very good. Forget the rest

I feel that this is one of the shining jewels of the Megadeth chronology. It has some of the most thought provoking lyrics and just plain killer musicianship of anything that is currently out by other bands. "Hook In Mouth" is in my opinion the rally cry against censorhsip. "In My Darkest Hour" is by far the best song on the whole album and just blows me away everytime I hear it.

Pure 80's Thrash Metal, which is probably why Megadeth's "radio fans" don't like it. There are some weak parts but overall it is a killer album. "Hook in Mouth" is one of the best Megadeth Songs ever. If had been better produced I would name it the second best Megadeth album after "Rust" of course.

For those of you who don't know this already, "In My Darkest Hour" was written in responce to the death of the only guy in Metallica Dave was good friends with, Cliff Burton.

I bought this on cassette brand new and it was a waste of money. The only song I found worth listening to was Anarky In The UK and Motley Crues version is better. Awsome video though. I gave this cassette away to a friend.

STOP SLAGGING THIS ALBUM OFF YOU BUNCH OF WANKERS... IT'S GREAT, SONGS LIKE '502' AND 'LIAR' GIVE METAL A NEW MEANING... ... F**K YOU.
