Comments for Mellencamp, John, Lonesome JubileeThe last big Mellencamp album, Lonesome Jubilee prides itself on thatfamiliar Mellencamp insight. The approach is similar to Scarecrow,but the themes aren`t as abrasive, and the album ends up havinga cozier feel to it. It doesn`t sink in like Scarecrow, but youstill come off of it with a yearning for those better times. His best work. Im not just saying that because im class of 88 either.
