Comments for Men At Work, Two Hearts

E-MAIL: hari@u.washington.edu
Greg and Colin produced it. Too much machinery. But Hard Luck Story is a wicked track. For more info, see: http://weber.u.washington.edu/~hari/ -galen

Loved the songwriting. Hated the drums... or rather, the lack of a real drummer. Collectors of MAW/CH email me!
This is the third and final album by this great band. It wasreleased in 1985 after the departure of original members Jerry Speiser and John Rees. "Everything I Need" and "Maria"are the better cuts and were single releases. "Two Hearts" does not have the appeal of the previous two albums. Lengthof album is an estimate as cassette I have doesn`t indicate time of play.
ron@ronstrykert.com
This was our last record as the other guys here have pointed out. We where trying to do something different and wanted to put more ideas across. Greg wrote alot of songs with loads of keyboard riffs on so it went from there. We also used a lot of different guitarists for this record. I also played bass on the opening track. My bass debut!. I like this album. I had a lot of ideas and they where not used. Greg's music was put on most of the record with those keyboards. Its kool. Ronnie
things have changed a lot without the great john and jerry it's very artificial

Love them or hate the album Two hearts, Colin's guitar and songwritting skills cannopt be denied! He's very much qualified to sing my songs Day O and Cocoanut women!
Simon Le Bon@duran
BRAVO!Maestros Colin and Greg at work in this great album!
MickJagger@stones
They adore Colin,Ron and Greg after the super success launch of business as usual and cargo and cannot wait to see what they have stored for their comeback in two hearts.
BruceSpringsteen@USA
The album's organic vibe showcases their growth, both in songwritting and performance. But will people listen? now that jerry and john left. The drummer and bass player carry the rhythm, pitch and pulse of any rock band.
BILLY OCEAN
MAW sounded liked cocoanut men. when cocolin and shintaron and greggy as mainstays ,jerry and john out!
dennis de Young@styx
Before MAW has a concoction of of heavy groove drums, spiced with hoy and lively bass, wailing guitars, and soulful saxophone. Now, in this album it's a messy band, the musical instruments are not consistent.
rob hirst@oils
This album will get an A1 OK from me,if Jerry and John are involved!
Michael Jackson@kingpop
Man...Yeah yeah..... If only this album was produced and released the same year my Thriller album was released, this album will surely romped away all the Grammys awards for that year../ I love the soundtracks like Maria,Sail to you, snakes and ladders..Ohhhhh I also love Colin the Maaan!
Deweybunnel@americarock
Colin Hay is a gentle person possessing a forceful character but always with honor, grown these past two decades honed his songwritting, have matured and his music is tighter than ever. For GREG ham He who toots his own horn plays in a one man band. Two hearts is one of the best rock albums i kept
Don henley
Two hearts is a very superb rock album. I suggest that you buy a CD .
IVA DAVIES@ICEHOUSE
truly talented people are few and far in between in today's ever fickle entertainment starscape. But the MAW are there and they deserved to get noticed. Talented songwritters, guitarist. Two hearts is one of their greatest masterpieces.
CHAD WACKERMAN
Colin has the voice of novelty now turned into the voice of experience. He's a bit weird, but you can see that's he's a knowledgeable person and he knows when people wants something from him,but I've always respected him because his a genius. Two hearts is one of Australia's best export.
james black@ozrock
Colin and Greg have the kind of insouciant cool that allowed them to count among their fans to Elton John to Barry Manilow.Despite their obvious talents, making good music wasn't how they envisioned making a living.
GREG SNEDDON
Because of Colin's and Greg's greediness, pride and arrogance, they sacked Jerry and John and bullied Ron . TWO HEARTS initiated the fall of men at work...They sacked me a long time ago...but I have the last laugh....HA HA HA
olivianewtonjohn
No MAW fan will want to miss this chart busting album,MAW saved Oz rock worldwide
m.c.hammer@rapper
pup pa pup, boob boob...Colin Hay can rap and a great aussie rapper! Sail to you is the best! Can Colin do some break dancing too?
billyidol
Great really great...but it will only be the greatest if only Jerry and John were involved. I missed those guys.
wierdal@yankovic
I've proposed to the men if I can make a parody out of their tracks like..It's a big snake, bogger grill, and who own that cow? but Colin denied my prososal..HA HA.Maybe someday he will allow the Mario parody or everything I feed
wierdal@yankovic
Correction it's Who owns that big cow? In this album I have thought of Hail tokyo or whale too low..chicken on parade..man with two farts...ha ha giggle
howardjones@newave
This album sold better than others in 1985,because Colin was an acclaimed songwriter with incendiary skills with musical instruments.
jimkerr@simpleminds
This is a significant accomplishment, considering that it was independently produced by the band's very own HAYHAM,and did not have the benefit of a strong marketing and advertising machinery of big record producers.
larrybird@celtic
Colin's singing prowess is superb..check it out in this magnificent slamming album
tiffany@radioromance
Two hearts was the album to beat in 1985,Albums like Brothers in arms,Born in the U.S.A, No jackets required,Purple rain had difficulty in terms of sales then.
coreyhart@rock
Colin the man in the box never surrendered in many this album a success.
laniehall@lightrock
Still life is a cool sound track, like the instruments and Greg on vocals.
patbenatar@tuneup
Colin ,Ron and Greg have tons of talents ,because the can play multi musical instruments as heard in this album
glenbishop@flesh4lulu
