A greatest hits album from a terrific artist.

To this day, some 8 years later (!), I still consider this one of the three best CDs I own, period. I still can't believe the raw talent this one man has. And this album is a true reflection of it -- a mostly one-man show. I can't think of many debut solo albums (Annie Lennox pops to mind, though) that are as prefectly crafted as this one. A must-have.

This was surely one of the greatest albums of its period when it was released. however a close listen to it reveals that only some of the songs were excellent and makes for compulsive listening. faith father figure hand to mouth i want your sex are all distintive songs that can not be matched with any other in the world. these are very original pieces that would make artistes gleen not with delight but with envy. how did he creat such beautiful music. where did it come from.

he is just ....i dont even know...words just dont convey all i feel about his enormous talent.He is simply FANTASTIC.Yes there is a raw talent about him that just dont match with any1 i've ever heard....he has a way with his words ..his ideas....HE IS N WILL B THE ! N ONLY!!!!!

Catchy, Mature, and Bold. The best thing to come from the 80's

Definitely one of the best albums/CDs ever recorded. Never get tired of listening to it, even when it is on 'repeat' and plays 5 or 6 times. You are incredible, George!

a fine start to his solo career, george michael shows he's got more in him than wham! ever led us to believe. pure pop at it's best. "i want your sex" was a fine way to get back into the public eye (thanx to the mild controversy). among other standouts include "kissing a fool", the strong "hand to mouth" shows a newfound maturity, and "one more try" showcases some of his best singing. overall a fine effort, and an album to remember, but the best was yet to come... shrug.

One of my favorite CDs. "Kissing a Fool" is one of the best songs I have ever listened to. George's voice is really sensational in it. I advise everyone to have it in their CD collection.

Simply put, one of the best pop albums of the last decade.. Great songs and some of George''s best vocals on record. I never get tired of listening to "Faith".
