Comments for Ministry, The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste

A definite must for any Ministry fan. On this album, Al and company experiment heavily with movie soundbites, noize and wicked industrial grooves. All the tracks are excellent, but "So What" is a special treat.

'So What' is the best Ministry song ever.

Not as all-out scarifying as RAPE AND HONEY, but still a good groove in its own right. It's held up a little better than I would have expected to; some of the stuff sounded really embarrasing in the wake of "Stigmata", etc., but it's fine when it stands alone. "So What", which is unfortunately more Killing Joke than Ministry, is the centerpiece.

I have been giving this CD heavy rotation both at home and at work lately. 'So What' and 'Cannibal Song' are of note, though I strongly feel that to single out just those two tracks is just plain wrong!

A good compromise between the difficult but brilliant "Land of Rape and Honey" and the more accesible, but shallow and simple "Psalm 69". "Theives" is my personal favorite Ministry song.

This album SUCKS! I listened to parts of a few tracks at an I-Station and said "This sounds cool", bought the album, and found out that you can take practically any 30 seconds of any of the songs on it, repeat them for 5 minutes, and have rebuilt the song. Come ON-a sequencer does not a musician make.

i guess i have the honour to answer cwitten: if you are stupid enough to believe what radio-people tell you, i guess the only thing that is boring must be you. this is a very GOOD album, which says FUCK YOU to our world. it expresses madness, power, insanity and energy in a very interesting way. and by using repetitive structures, this becomes even more intense. by the way: it doesn't make it into pop-music either, because the songs last too long for that - but you apparently never finished any of the songs. sad.

whomever things this album is bad, deserves to be shot in their head. it rocks, and their worst one has got to be twitch never heard of it you say? cause it sucks

I have to agree that Ministry haz the worst repetition problem of just about any band i know. But that doesnt make this album or Ministry bad, but i wont defend their repetition with my life like that one loser. This kicks some ass, but cwitten is rite, take 10 seconds of any song and you've pretty much heard it all.
