Fantastic album. "Help Me" is one of the most beautiful pop songs ever written. Her marriage of jazz and pop is most impressive, especially considering how ahead of her time she was! "Car on a Hill" is a delight, as is "Free Man in Paris" and "Just Like This Train." "Raised on Robbery" is a rockin classic, and the title track is of the utmost haunting beauty. A triumphant effort.

If you''re not familiar with Joni''s work, this is probably the place to start, as it combines elements from both Joni''s early period "folkish" singer-songwriter work with her later experiments with jazz.

This is the album where she blew thw whole early 70`s singer/songwriter movement (which she almost singlehandedly created) out of the water.
