Comments for Mitchell, Joni, Ladies of the Canyon

This is the album where she began (tentatively) exploring some of the musical themes that she would pursue the following year on "Blue."

There are certainly some timeless classics here: "Big Yellow Taxi," "The Circle Game," and "Woodstock." Overall, though, the material is weaker than the stuff on BLUE. She was just warming up with this album, I guess.
