Wow! Recorded on a portable tape recorder from a single mic in 1957, this is an amazingpiece of work. This album features Coltrane on tenor, Ahmed Abdul-Malik on bass and Roy Haynes on drums. This was recorded just months after Coltrane kicked herion and started practicing like a madman (morning, noon and night).
