Comments for Moyet, Alison, EssexE-MAIL: quasi@mpx.com.au E-MAIL: quasi@mpx.com.au Alf is back with a vengeance! This album portrays Moyet at her finest Modern Rock with a vocal that could kill. 8/10.E-MAIL: david ryan@inst.riba.org Alison Moyet : Essex 1994 This along with the excellent "Hoodoo" stand out as Alison''s best work to date. From track one of Essex the trippy "Falling" to the drama of "Whispering Your Name" with the singer/songwriter really singing with more than a hint of emotion. Then into the sexy and seductive "Getting into Something" to the excellent Moyet/Broudie song "So Am I" Other tracks worthy of checking out are the sparse yet beautiful "Satelite" or the manic "Ode to Boy". For me one of the most beautiful songs is the track "Dorothy" a homeage. Finally lets all look forward to Spring 1999 and her new record.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
