Comments for BABBLE, The Stone

The Stone is very reminiscent of William Orbit''s Strange Cargo 3, with excellent production, psychedelic synthetic textures, and skillful sample manipulation. It evokes the dreamy mood & atmospherics of their years under the late Alex Sadkin''s production, resulting in an album of much greater quality than Thompson Twins'' efforts in the late 80s. Highly recommended.

I am not nearly as fluent on Babble as the previous gentleman, but I was actually given this album by a radio station around the same time Dave Mathews band released thier first major album. So basically I got the "unwanted CD" however, it turned out that this is one of the best CD's I own. It took me a little while to fully appreciate the artistic talent of this CD as it is different from anything that I have ever listened to. It remains in the top 5 of my collection since 1995 - present (2003). I look forward to buying there other album. --Christian

This recording stands the test of time, great sonic texture, excellant arrangements, never feels dated... i happened to hear it on release and years later i still constantly play it! nice tabla playing to boot - cheers

Excellent album from great musicians. I listen to The Stone and the Ether albums all the time, perfect ambiences, elegant sounds, the best albums to help someone to live with relax and imagination.
