Comments for Oldfield, Mike, The Songs Of Distant Earth

THIS is a piece of musical history, IMHO the bes Oldfield album, just great for relaxing.

Totally refined until all the life has been sucked out of it. Too much compression, directly copies Dire Strait's style. Seems to have been suffocated by eco-mania and marketing for the US. Islands of brilliance illuminate this very sad piece. Very provocative, and a must-have if you like it or not.

Itīs one of his best albums, maybe itīs his best. Closing your eyes and listening the music and you can really feel the songs of distant earth!

I think this record gives us a new dimension of music, it's not a record to hear at any time, it need's a special state of mind. of mind.

Undoubtably the best Oldfield album. Ethereal, drifting, far fetched, surreal, honest. Guitarwork superb. If I could play like that I would not be sending this E-mail. Ivahn from South Africa.
This is, in my opinion, the best Album of Mike Oldfield. The CD is a dual format disc containing both CD audio information (music) and CD ROM data (pictures, video, sound and animation). The audio component of the disc is playable on both CD players and computers. The CD ROM information needs a properly configured Macintosh computer. The first tarck of the album containsthe CD ROM information.
mike if you see this i am 12 and i think you are the greatest music maker of all time!!!
