Comments for Pantera, Far Beyond Driven

E-MAIL: les125@duke.usask.ca
Well, well, well! The boys from Pantera have done it again! Killer riffs, drums as big as a house, and the ultimate in hard core vocal styles. The album itself is "God-sized", although curiously similar in structure to "Vulgar Display of Power". The band such keep from following the Metallica way of life - they've got the ability to take their own direction and let everyone else try to follow.

This album rips.

Gets an A-. A very good album, harsher, but not as experimental as _Vulgar_. A little hardcore at the start, but mostly slower and heavy with an industrial slant.

This album kicks everybody's ass, badly.
E-MAIL: HEINTZ@SCANVA.CANTON.EDU.
THIS ALBUMS SOUND IS SIMILAR TO VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER BUT HAS MORE FEELING BEHIND THE MUSIC. WHEN I FIRST LISTENED TO THIS ALBUM BACK IN 94, I WAS LITERALLY BLOWN RIGHT OUT OF MY SEAT ON TO MY ASS. THEN I HAD THE URGE TO GET UP AND START A HUGE MOSH PIT. BUT THIS STILL HAS THE TENDENCY TO KICK MINE AND EVERYONE ELSES ASS OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

I like this album because the guy can sing loud, and it annoys my parents. Also, I'm a depressed sociopathetic loner, who will probably snap one day and go kill people at a post office. Keep up the good work Pantera, you talk directly to people like me who are fucked up in the head and have bizarre misconceptions about the world.

this album rocks . when i bought it i was blown away , dimebags noise-gated guitars sound like a chain saw , it rocks . keep on rockin and don't go the metallica way , that sucks .

Driven by the guilt of knowing they are a glam band in disguise, Pantera(PANTENE?) put out this giant mass of garbage! Along with Phil's pseudo-intellectual redneck with an attitude lyrics this CD ALMOST makes for a good coaster to put drinks on. SInce they couldn't write an original 80's metal riff they have managed to trick their fans into believing that overdistorted guitars with screaming nonsensical vocals is true metal. I can not believe Prong would share the same stage with these hacks!

This is THE heaviest shit put out by Pantera yet. That about sums the bitch up.

THIS ALBUM IS AWFUL!! PANTERA FUCKIN SUCKS MAN!!! COME ON!! THE CAN"T SING AT ALL-HE'S HORRIBLE. I CAN'T BELIEVE ANYONE WOULD LIKE THIS SHIT. E-MAIL ME THOSE OF YOU WHO DISAGREE-I WANNA HEAR FROM THE STUPID ASS PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LIKE THIS SHIT.

A few gentle criticisms, couched in gentlemanly terms: 1. DOES Phil (Poof) Anselmo HAVE to sound like a nutmeg- grater every time he opens his big, silly, stupid mouth? 2. Why does Dimebag (a very suitable name) Darrel have to show the whole world what a foul player he is? I know a basement guitarist called G.S. who only knows how to play Megadeth on acoustics, and he kicks Darrel's butt every time he does so! 3. Pantera should take a psycho holiday(ie a mental asylum) and return to being the Backstreet Boys before us DECENT PEACEFUL folks get FAR BEYOND DRIVEN and PUT them in there FOR GOOD! DEATH TO PANTERA!

Ya, Mr. Guitar Union is absolutely right. Though I am not a hard-rock guitarist, I can still show Mr. Darrell a thing or two. He doesn't play guitar, he switches his mama's electronic mixie on and feeds the grinding noises thru an electronic distortion board. Now you know vy he sounds so different live.

pantera is the best ever if you dont like it dont fucking listen to it
E-MAIL: ashley@aol.com
yeah,i'm definitely going to have to agree with Thirdarm40@aol.com: if you dont like Pantera, don't fucking listen to them. No ones forcing you to. And to Capt_Bloomfield@yahoo.com: get a fucking life and quit TRYING to act hard by telling anyone who likes Pantera to E-mail you. Any Pantera fan, myself included, would kick your ass in a second.Phil, I still love you

Ya, Mr. 001@69.com there, you make mistake. I vas a pop guitarist and I still know more chords than Mr. "Cocaine" Darrell - if dat''s really his name.

This is probably the worst Pantera album, lyrically (and that says a lot), but overall it still gets a 9 from me. Some tracks are weak, but the highlights from this album are absolute classics. Strength Beyond Strength, 5MA, Slaughtered, Shedding Skin, and Use My Third Arm all kick ass. This is the Pantera album that I listen to the most.
