"...goodnight to the rock-n-roll era." The best line of 1994.

This album is a landmark in American music. It addresses no specific subjects and follows no specific patterns. steve Malkmus proves his worth as a songwriter with lines like "No one serves coffee, noone wakes up."It's an album for a bummer life of peacefulness and bonghits.

Pavement is is like the best indie band around, although I think their Mtv stunt turned alot of people off. Ya know, you can't hate an artist for geting a little air play... slanted and enchanted is really raw and I love it!!! Liz phair have crooked rain, crooked rain as her number two album of the year. cool!

**** (5 star scale) Pavement is the best underground secret in the whole indie rock genre. This record's a bit more accessable then it's predecessor, Slanted and Enchanted, but still delivers the slackish charm that turned me on to the band anyway. PRIME CUTS: "Silence Kid","Elevate Me Later","Cut Your Hair","Golden Soundz","Fillmore Jive". --j.teel

As a matter of fact, Stone Temple Pilots are pretty foxy to me.

The other people who commented here are a bunch of fucking slaves and don''t even hear pavement. Drugs, labels, and followers, these are things that Pavement do not crave. Silent Kit and Elevate Me Later too amazing to describe. I never suggest anyone to buy pavement shit, because they can''t possilbly understand Pavement like me. eat shit. Jeffrey Larsen of THE MENT
Cleaner than their first album. Spottier as well, but Cut Your Hair made them mini-MTV favourites and got them on the Tonight Show, so its definately got Pop appeal.
