Comments for Pearl Jam, No Code

Pearl Jam once agains displays how they make the music THEY want to and not what the industry wants them to. No Code is probably the most "in-between the lines" poetic album they have to date. From the calm, almost hypnotic "I'm Open" to the firey, heavy, borderline psychotic "Lukin". The album is perfectly balanced...starting and ending softly, but striking hard-edged climaxes. Each Pearl Jam CD is completely different in style and attitude from any other Pearl Jam CD (or any CD out there)...and No Code is no exception. There is no "rehash" of old material or cheap "radio play" songs, just great, timeless songs from a great band.

I was prepared to read a lot of reviews knocking this, but I was pleasantly surprised! No Code is a great record (and that's saying a lot, for Pearl Jam), and a definite improvement over Vs. There is no more 'w.m.a' style crap (except maybe 'Habit') and some of the ballads, especially Off He Goes, are awesome! Keep up the good work, Ed.

WHADDYA MEAN, "W.M.A CRAP"? W.M.A. ISN''T CRAP! IT''S A GREAT POWERFUL SONG ABOUT RACISM!!! AND HABIT IS ABOUT HEROIN!! SO SHOVE ALL THAT ''CRAP'' BIT DOWN YOUR THROAT AND CHEW ON IT! BUT YOU''RE RIGHT. KURT SUCKS!
Another great album from one of the best groups of the 90s.
