In my opinion, an underrated album, with great music. check out tracks Free Four, Childhoods end and most notably, Wots' uh the Deal...

I agree that this album should be rated higher. The rylics of Waters start to shine and the music is flowing in an easy way.

Obscured By Clouds has got to be the most underated Floyd album ever. Childhoods End and and The Gold That's In The are the best 2 tracks IMHO. Free Four, Wots...The Deal, and Mudmen are all great also. It needs more respect, even from Die Hard Floyd fans. OBC Rules !!!!

This album contains all the elements of "Dark Side of the Moon" which followed it, but not in quite the same proportions. Water's songwriting, the sounds effects, the organized instrumental passages are all here. What's nice is how democratic the singing/songwriting is: this sounds like a band that is mature and balanced. There's a nice run of tracks fronted by Gilmour, Waters and Wright (my particular favourite) and their slightly divergent styles complement each other nicely. Happier days for the Floyd! It's a pity the movie was so insignificant, but this album is a great legacy for it to leave, Ian Thomas, ITHOMAS@SWIN.EDU.AU

Alright- love to read those previous comments. SOOOOOOOOOOO underated. I love this album! It is mellow, yet upbeat when it needs to be. Childhood's End is one of my alltime favorites and everything else just gets you in such a killer mood. Wish the movie was as good, but ya can't beat this one.

I also think this album is far underrated. I'm only 19 and have listened to Floyd for about four years but this album just reaches out and grabes your attention. One of my personal favorites behind "Wish You Were Here."

My first Floyd, bought it in 72, saw them right after in Ann Arbor. Found God.
Music from the film "The Valley"
