Really the best Pink Floyd album.

This album is in the Pink Floyd original style. It is apart from all of the other albums. A must for all Floyd fans. A piece of history - and great fun to hear.

Pretty damn good album- bit more understandable than Piper. Clegg rules all here, but I still love to listen to any of it.

Have to disagree here. This is my least favorite Floyd album, by far. This was their first album without a strong Barrett influence, and IMHO the rest of the band hadn't quite found their own yet. Let there be more Light, Corporal Clegg, and See Saw are simply awful songs, while Set the Controls and Saucerful of Secrets are done much better on Ummagumma. However, the one song penned by Barrett--Jugband Blues--is a masterpiece.

I think this is a great album. Let there be more light and `Set the controls for the heart of the sun` sounds terrific. `Jugband blues` is a beautiful song. So are the last part of the title cut.

A great Pink FLoyd album! First without Syd. Syd was a genius, but he kind of went crazy.

Could somebody do me a favour and fuck me in the ass?

Bless ye,Jimmy.I think Corporal Clegg,Jugband Blues and Let there be... are the outstanding tracks on this album. The others are good.

WHY did Rick Wright stop writing good songs? See-Saw and Remember A Day are simply otherworldly. His falsettos rule.

This album has been underrated for various reasons. It suffered from the shadow that was cast by the brilliant debut Piper at the gates of dawn. The fact that Syd Barret the genius contributed little doesn''t mean however that the other direction that is in development here isn''t interesting and already leading to beautiful results. Also, the live versions of Saucer and Setting the controll''s on Ummagumma may be highlights of trippy music, the first drafts here excell in experimentalism and eye for detail. The album doesn''t shock but enchants and has still superb examples of the playfulness and humour Pink would lose after Meddle. A five star album even if it is a transitional record.
