Psychedelia at its best. Great collection with dream-like and weird parts in right propotion to each other.

The Nile Song Rules ! Its the heaviest Floyd, but it really shows what kind of volume The Floyd were capable of producing in that era. Arnold Layne, Interstellar Overdrive , and See Emily Play all stand out well also. Pick it up if you want to sample of the early stuff.

A good version of Careful With That Axe, Eugene. Otherwise a poor quality rehash of the earlier albums.

Well I bought it today, because it it's very rare on CD. As I read in the newsgroup, it's available as a remaster now. I like the rough sound of The Nile Song, which is pretty cool. I don't know the early albums yet, so I want to have an overview over them. But I still believe, that I'm more fascinated of their albums released 70-79.

Excellent compilation of early Pink Floyd. Just get it if you like 'em. With the exception of perhaps Arnold Layne and Bike (which I do actually like, a bit) all the tracks are brilliant. Check out the raw power of the Nile Song and Interstellar Overdrive. Also, here is proof that Wright is as good a composer as Waters (Remember a Day, Paintbox). Add the classics See Emily Play and Careful With That Axe Eugene, plus a couple of quintessentially psychedelic songs from Waters, and you have a great album. Rating : 8/10

A really good album.The best songs on it are Arnold Layne,Insterllar Overdrive,Cirrus Minor and Bike.Listening to the Barrett songs on Relics makes one wonder what Pink Floyd would be like today if Syd haden't gone cuckoo.

I don''t think anyone''s mentioned the 3 songs Paintbox, Julia Dream, and Biding My Time?!?!?!?!?! Those are great songs and I believe this is the only CD you can find them on albumwise! If you''re a Floyd Fan you NEED this fuckin album!!! Biding my Time isn''t THAT great but the other 2 are great! All 3 written by Rogers, not Barret.

This is a good album to get if you`re not used to theearly Pink Floyd sound from the days of Syd Barrett. Iappreciate PIPER AT THE GATES OF DOWN and SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS more now than I did before picking up RELICS.**Collection of greatest hits from first four albums and singles that were previously unavailable on earlier albums.
