This is the demo tape that the Pixies originally sent to 4 A.D.4 A.D. liked it so much they released it as Come on Pilgrim...

This EP, is, by definition, a rather short look at the Pixies and probably does more to preface the band than it does to build a fanbase. It has a pleasant garage band feel to it and the underproduction serves the band well. Tracks Caribou and Nimrod's Son are enough to make this album a good buy, but if you're short on cash and want to check out who the Pixies really were, I'd go with another album and buy this one once you become a die-hard.
