Comments for Poco, Cantamos

Western Waterloo... An environmental comment before it was popular? Prophectic when you think about the coming of Reagan and Watt. A Quadrophonic album. The original album cover was a cutout...the drawing of the 4 musicians playing in the room was originally on the inner sleeve. The outside cover was simply the "indian blanket" art. Very expensive for its time-period, and the group took a major hit from its company for doing it.

Is this album available on CD?

This seems to be the only Poco album that I can't find on CD (except for a Japanese import @ $30). Is it available in the US as a CD anywhere?

A great album - bloody fantastic! Much was said after Furay left the band - "Poco would not survive". Cantamos was the second album after Furay's departure and launched Poco into a new era. Cantamos still maintains a strong country feel with a Rock edge - wonderful stuff - refreshing every time you hear it.

I just love the dueling acoustic guitar solos in "High and Dry". Rusty really started stretching as a writer on this album. This album combines all the best of yesterday and promise of a brighter tomorrow for the band.

Without a doubt, this is a masterpiece. People said that without Furay they couldn't do it. Listen to this and you will find out they were wrong. This is a great LP. Can't figure out why a record company refuses to release such a fan favorite on CD>

Paul Cotton, Rusty Young & Tim Schmit did a masterpiece here, as this is one Classic Poco album. The Japanese import is still all thats available, but the price is down a bit. www.thoughtscape.com
