Just a timeless collection of love songs forgotten somewhere out there in an acid rains, rusted through thousands of years. (Brilliant but to depressive for some folks.)

It`s not really rock, not hip hop, but alternative...meaning an alternative to all the musical styles out there today. Eclectic, progressive, avant garde would be several terms to describe Portishead. I`m blown away by this CD and their previous one and I`ve been listening to rock for 35 years. This CD has a hard edge to it than "Dummy" which was softer and more jazz influenced. Both CDs are great but different. This is truly a creative bunch!
