Comments for Presley, Elvis, old 78 rpm

Hello! What you've got there is a bootleg, because Milkcow Blues Boogie was never released on SUN-label. It was recorded in 1955 but was never released until RCA bought Elvis from SUN and released it on an album called "For LP-fans Only" (I think) released in 1959. Don't know what it's worth, though, probably not more than 12-15 dollars. You're welcome to contact me if u have any other questions..

According to Good Rockin'' Tonight, a book by Colin Escott & Martin Hawkins documenting the history of Sun Records, Sun release #215 was Milkcow Blues Boogie bw You''re A Heartbreaker. Release date was January 8, 1955 (E''s 20th birthday). It was the worst selling Sun single by Elvis, selling around 20,600 copies. No word on how many 78''s were pressed.
I have a copy of that 78LP also, and I found it. IT'S A BOOTLEG? Hmmmmmmm. I had no idea
