Comments for Primus, Frizzle Fry

This album is not alternative, it is considered by many (including diehard fans) to be progressive. This album is the first of the music written wholly by the current band members. The others were written more by the past band members of Primate and other Claypoolian bands.

Actually I believe most of the tracks were written *before* the current lineup was completed. I think the previous guitarist (Todd Huth) played a fair part in a number of the tracks, including writing guitar lines, etc. I think he played on the album a bit too.

Again with the damn ALTERNATIVE/PROGRESSIVE thing! Can't anyone just LISTEN to music without trying to slap a label on it anymore? Primus is a GOOD band. Period.

Primus is an excellent band. Their crazy style and lyrics make them one of the best alternative bands on the scene. They are here to stay for a long time.

I think the first guy is sadly mistaken. I think the majority of this album was written well before the current Primus line-up. A great album all the same. I consider myself a long-time Primus fan; I've listened over 7 years, and I don't think that the "alternative" label is off base. They get air time on mostly alternative stations. At the same time, their music continues to mature and change, so you could also claim they're continually progressing. Primus Sucks!

Holy Crap! This is a good album ! It ranks second only to the Brown Album! What the hell was the guy before me thinking saying Primus sucks? P.S. PRIMUS RULES eh?
