This is a stunning collection that really tells you what The Psychedelic Furs is all about. Great songs, brilliant lyrics, lots of variation and a truly unique sound. One of the best collections around if you ask me, a "must".

It was after putting this collection together that the Furs decided to head back into their earlier, non-commercial, not-overproduced sound. Includes a new song "All That Money Wants" which is as good as anything off of their second lp.

great compilation, i dig the liner notes (nifty little paragraph on the misinterpretation of pretty in pink). did anyone else notice that the organ on the rerecord of pretty in pink sounds alot like one of those horrid early '80s songs by someone like springstein? good as this disk is, it's doesn't feature some songs that it should, and it showcases the furs at some of their weaker moments, ie. sister europe isn't one of the better songs on their first album and heartbreak beat should have been burried right by love spit love.

I''d love to think that after listening to this compilation, people would be encouraged to sample some more furs stuff, especially the earlier albums. This is definitely a band worth listening to, so if you like what you hear, try some more.
